UNH District Event

Our next event is coming up soon! We have been working hard to get ready for competition. Coding has been conducting testing on our vision tracking. This should improve our shooting abilities at UNH.

Our drive team has been getting practice for this competition. We would like to thank Team 811 for allowing us to use their practice field, this season!

We will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Nashua on 01 April. Come and join us for dinner from 6:30 to 8:30 to support our team, and enjoy food with family and friends!

Bagged, Tagged, and Ready!

After a significant amount of hard work, our robot was bagged and tagged on Tuesday, 23 February. Our robot is a high goal shooter with breaching capabilities, and we look forward to working with other teams at the Granite State District Event, this weekend!

We will continue to do testing with our second robot until the first event. We would like to thank Rapid Machining for helping us to lighten our robot!

Making Progress

Our team is making great progress! Our mechanical subteam has mounted more components for the robot; the some brush mounts have been added as well. Our battery box is almost assembled! We are well on our way to completing our first robot!

Coding has been working hard on testing our robot. The vision tracking for the "boulders" is almost completely functional, and autonomous testing is underway.

Our electrical subteam is working on wiring our second control board! The first control board is complete.

Our business subteam has been doing research on drive costumes and possible improvements to the mascot costume. Additionally, our team has increased our presence in social media!

We would like to thank Rapid Sheet Metal and Solidscape for their physical contributions to our robot, this season!

Up and Running!

Our robot chassis is now assembled, and it sits proudly on top of our drive train! Mech has installed wheels and treads on the drive train! Today, Mech also mounted motors, encoders, and an actuator. Additionally, game pieces have been constructed by our Mech students. The newest addition to our obstacle collection is the "rough terrain!" Our robot successfully made its way through the obstacle a few times, yesterday!

Team 2342's scouting system has been upgraded! Our team now has a scouting app which will be ready for use in the next few weeks! During competitions, our match scouts will be able to enter data about matches into a database. This will be extremely helpful during alliance selection!

Electrical has finished the first control board, and they are well on their way to finishing the second one!

Coding has been working hard to improve our robot's "vision," and the robot can now almost completely track the "boulder." Autonomous testing of the drive train has commenced.

The team standard has been designed, and is set to be ordered soon! We now have a student-designed tie-dye pattern for our T-shirts, as well as a prototype for drive costumes.

Great work, team!

Game On!

The building of the robot is in progress! Mech is prototyping the loader and shooter mechanisms for our competition robot; they are also building game pieces for practice. Wiring has prototyped a control robot. Coding is writing a test mode for the drive station, and they have finished coding for the drive train. They are working on vision code as well as code for the shooter mechanism. Most of the code for our robot allows our robot to run relatively autonomously.

Our team is working with Rapid Sheet Metal this season. They will be waterjet cutting parts for us. Solidscape, a 3D printing company, is also helping our team: they will be printing rollers for our robot. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for helping us to make this Build Season a success!

Sheet Metal, Lumber, and Wheels (Oh My!)

Our team is almost finished with creating a model of the robot in CAD! We are in the process of building our loader mechanism. Our shooter is also being worked on by the mechanical subteam! The coding subteam has created an outline for the code for the robot. This will serve as infrastructure for the code for the robot, later in the Build Season.

In order to effectively practice playing the game, our team is building game pieces to mimic those which will be on the field. We have constructed a model of the tower, and we will begin working on the defenses, shortly.

Our business subteam has been researching tie-dye designs for team T-shirts. They have also been researching possible options for our team Standard, or flag! The team is also working on award submissions for the 2016 season.

Kickoff!

The 2016 Build Season has begun! Our team had an exciting and productive weekend, and we are in the process of prototyping a few mechanisms for the robot. We have decided to have a combination "omni-track" drive train in order to tackle the tough obstacles and different surfaces on the playing field. We will decide what the final design will be for our robot, shortly.

The full model for the robot should be in CAD by this Friday, 15 January!

Our team is also planning on building a number of game pieces, in order to practice for the competition!

The Spaghetti Dinner has been rescheduled, and will now take place on 01 April at the Unitarian Universalist Church. Come and join us!
